84 Lumber closes Ohio component plant
84 Lumber, the industry’s third largest LBM chain, has shut down its Pataskala, Ohio components plant, according to the Newark Advocate. The Eighty Four, Penn.-based pro dealer cited the downturn in the housing market for the closing.
An 84 Lumber store in Pataskala, which is 20 miles east of Columbus, Ohio, will remain open, according to the company. Spokesman Jeff Nobers told the newspaper that the facility will be put up for sale.
