Lowe’s employees help capture prison escapee
James Jabob, 29, was caught by Lowe’s store security in a Bear, Del., store after he allegedly placed about $1,500 worth of power tools in a shopping cart, taking it to the store’ s garden center and throwing the tools over a fence. Police said Jacobs was attempting to climb over the fence himself when he was confronted by store security personnel. A fight ensued, and Jacobs was taken into custody.
Delaware State Police said Jacobs gave a fake name, but they found his wallet in his car and learned his identity. Jacobs was allegedly wanted for escaping from the Bucks County Prison. He was arrested on charges of shoplifting, offensive touching, hindering prosecution, disorderly conduct and being a fugitive from another state. He is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
