New Lowe’s stores slated for South, Midwest

Lowe’s plans new stores for several locations throughout the United States, with two new stores planned for the Midwest and South each, as well as one store for the Northeast.

The nation’s second largest home channel retailer announced new stores planned for Machesney Park, Ill., and Marysville, Ohio. The Marysville location is set to include a 117,000-square-foot retail space, while the Machesney Park location will be a smaller format at 103,000 square feet.

New Albany, Miss., and Land O’Lakes, Fla., each are set to receive a new Lowe’s store. The New Albany, Miss. store is set to stand at just 80,000 square feet, one of Lowe’s smallest formats. The Florida location is set to be 117,000 square feet.

Afifth location also was announced this week, in Hamburg, N.Y. That location is also set to be 117,000 square feet.

Earlier this month, the retailer opened further new locations in Alamo Ranch, Texas; West Fayetteville, N.C.; and South Chino Hills, Calif.
