Trex expands outdoor furniture deal
Winchester, Va.-based Trex Co. expanded its original September 2010 licensing agreement with Syracuse, Ind.-based Poly-Wood to develop and market additional categories of outdoor living furniture.
Under the expanded agreement, the Trex Outdoor Furniture collection will grow to include porch swings, rockers and benches along with retractable patio and deck shade umbrellas. All new designs will combine style, comfort and durability and will complement low-maintenance and eco-friendly Trex outdoor living spaces.
Trex is the world’s largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking and railing products.
“Our relationship with Poly-Wood has significantly expanded our brand presence in the outdoor living arena,” said Ron Kaplan, chairman, president and CEO of Trex. “With the expansion of our agreement, we’ll be able to not only offer consumers a complete spectrum of outdoor furnishings and accessories, but also provide our professional partners with additional opportunities for sales.”
Featuring craftsmanship with an emphasis on comfort, the Trex Outdoor Furniture collection currently includes seating options like Adirondack chairs, ottomans, settees, sofas and chaise lounges, as well as coffee tables, side tables and dining sets.
