True Value signs new three-year deal with ECi

ECi Software Solutions announced that ECi RockSolid POS has entered into a new three-year agreement with Chicago-based True Value Company. 

The software solutions provider said that the deal will allow more True Value retailers to benefit from RockSolid POS.

“We are very excited about this new partnership with True Value,” says Scott Stanford, President of the ECi LBMH division. “This is a great opportunity to reach out to more True Value retailers with a software solution that is affordable and a team to support their needs.”

ECi RockSolid POS is a Preferred POS Vendor for True Value.

True Value's Retail Systems Team has been driving adoption of its Preferred POS Vendors for five years. Because True Value's principal business is not software, it is moving back to a direct sales model where the Preferred POS Vendors sell directly to the retailer, according to ECi. To facilitate this move, True Value has agreed to transfer the sales function to ECi Software Solutions. It will be more effective to have ECi RockSolid, with its robust, targeted sales group, sell directly both to the existing True Value RockSolid retailers, and to retailers not currently on a preferred system.

The software company also said RockSolid accounts for the vast majority of point of sale (POS) system implementations among True Value retailers over the past five years.
