Fix & Feed Sulphur Springs Hardware operates in East Texas about 90 miles east of Dallas. The store moved from a smaller location down the street in 2010.
Fix & Feed Hill
Fix & Feed owner Bobby Hill opened his first hardware store in nearby Commerce, Texas. The three-store company also operates in Bonham, Texas.
Fix & Feed Catfish
One of the store's longtime employees is Milburn Hettich. Everyone calls him by his nickname: "Catfish."
Fix & Feed Plungers
Creative merchandising includes this plunger display. "We just needed a better way than stacking them on the shelves," said Sulphur Springs store manager Bradley Hauerwas.

Fix & Feed Sign
Fix & Feed stands out in a market crowded with competitors. In the city of about 15,000, the county seat of Hopkins County, it competes with Tractor Supply, Lowe's and Atwoods. Right next door is a Fastenal store.
Fix & Feed Fudge
Fix and Feed also sells homemade fudge: peanut butter, chocolate pecan and a house special chocolate-covered cherry are among the varieties.
Fix & Feed Valves
The Handy Hardware Wholesale logo is visible on the store's banner, and also on the shelves. Fix & Feed has been a Handy member since the beginning in 1996.
