House-Hasson's Opryland Sales Booster 2011

Knoxville, Tenn.-based House-Hasson Hardware Co. set new records for attendance and sales at its Opryland Sales Booster Dealer Market held in Nashville, Tenn., Feb. 10 to 12. "We had a great turnout, and we're delighted at all the buying activity we saw," said Don Hasson, president and CEO.

The hardware distributor embraced social media. A slide during a seminar read, in part, "Traditional newspapers and phone books are out."

Houston Bowlin, product manager-paint and electrical for House-Hasson, was presented with the 2010 Buyer of the Year Award.

House-Hasson's Bonus Buy Breakfast featured open-stock items and attracted a crowd of more than 1,300 people, according to the distributor.

Hardware House found a home on the 200,000-sq.-ft. exhibit hall. The event attracted 50 new vendors, House-Hasson said.
