Andersen Corporation is anticipating an $18 million expansion of its manufacturing facility in Bayport, Minnesota, a move that's expected to add 100 full-time jobs to the local economy.

The project will involve improvements on an existing building at its complex and the purchase of new machinery.

Andersen will also get some help from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), which will award the company $625,000 from the Minnesota Job Creation Fund provided it meets its performance goals.

The Andersen Exterior Trim System works with Andersen A-Series, 400 Series and 200 Series product lines. 

The design eliminates measuring, cutting mitering, nailing and filling nail holes, according to Mark Pominville, marketing manager. "Our revolutionary snap-on feature lets you trim out an average house in about half a day, compared to two days using traditional trim."
