Beazer Homes USA, Inc. has named Christopher Grumboski VP and treasurer. In his new role, he will be take charge of all treasury-related functions, including cash management, lender and land-banking relations and debt capital markets activities.

Additionally, Beazer's former treasurer, Ekaterina Schwallie, has been named VP national finance and strategic planning.

Beazer Homes USA has appointed Tim Little to the post of Phoenix division president.

Beazer Homes has reported a sunny outlook for the third quarter and nine months ended June 30, paving the way for sustained profitability. Higher margins and increased sales pointed to significant progress on its Path-to-Profitability strategies.

The company's net loss for the third quarter totaled $5.79 million, compared with $39.88 million in the prior-year quarter. Total revenue rose 24% to $314.44 million from $254.56 million in the prior-year period. Home-building revenue rose 24% from the year-ago third quarter to $313.13 million.

Beazer Homes USA has been recognized by the EPA as a leader in energy performance. The home builder announced Monday that it received 15 2013 Energy Star Leadership in Housing Awards.

"I am very proud of the quality, energy-efficient homes we build in our communities across the country," said Beazer Homes CEO Allan Merrill. "100% of the homes we construct are Energy Star Certified, which demonstrates our commitment to providing each of our home buyers with one of the most energy-efficient homes on the market."
