According to an article in, a small-format Ace Hardware store is slated to open close to downtown Buffalo in a building next to a paint store. 

Owner Paul Leahey, president of Schuele Paint Co. in Buffalo, described the 3,000 square-foot store set to open by Memorial Day as a “first class hardware store.”

An article on reported that Hector's Hardware closed one of its stores in Amherst, N.Y. The company continues to operate nine other stores.

Employees of the store that closed on Niagara Falls Boulevard, and also the closed store's accounts, will relocate to another Amherst store, also on Niagara Falls Boulevard.

Two-unit, Buffalo, N.Y.-based lumber dealer Len-Co Lumber Corp. paid $2.95 million for a 60,000-sq.-ft. property in the Town of Tonawanda, N.Y., according to an article in the Buffalo News.

Len-Co's new location, its third, is a former Premier Wines flagship store. Len-Co operates stores in Buffalo and Williamsville, N.Y.
