Kris Matula and Mack Hogans are the newest addition to Boise Cascade's board of directors, the company announced Wednesday. The two join the board as longtime member Samuel Mencoff resigns.

Matula is the retired president and CEO of cellulose-based product manufacturer Buckeye Technologies, which Georgia-Pacific acquired in 2013. Before his time at the head of the company, Matula served as Buckeye’s CFO. He’ll serve on Boise Cascade’s compensation committee.

Marietta, Georgia-based wholesale building supply company Robert Bowden announced this week that it would begin using Epicor’s BizTrack software.

According to the company’s CFO Greg Lucas, the switch from a proprietary planning system is the result of Robert Bowden’s growth since starting in 1983.

Reporting to Ace’s CFO, Fedyszyn will play an integral role in driving strategic technology and systems management for Ace to shape business functions and deliver significant return on investments, the co-op said.

Following a long episode of data-breach damage control, Target Corp. CEO Gregg Steinhafel is stepping down as Target Corp. president, CEO and chairman of the board. 

An statement released Monday morning from Target reads:  "Today we are announcing that, after extensive discussions, the board and Gregg Steinhafel have decided that now is the right time for new leadership at Target."

Installed Building Products has welcomed Todd Fry to the company as chief accounting officer and principal accounting officer.

Reporting to CFO Michael Miller, Fry will bring his considerable financial experience to bear on his new role. He was most recently CFO of Champion Industries, a role he served in for 15 years.

Chicago-based True Value Co. senior VP and CFO David Shadduck liked what he saw during the first quarter, and didn't hesitate to describe the cold and snowy winter as a net gain for the co-op's 4,500 retailers.

The co-op reported gross billings of $460.1 million for the quarter, up 3.6% from $444.2 million for the same period a year ago. Revenue was $331.5 million, an increase of 6.0%.

Marysville, Ohio-based Scotts Miracle-Gro Company named Randy Coleman as executive VP and CFO.

Coleman replaces Larry Hilsheimer, who has left the company after slighlty more than a year in his role.

Chairman and CEO Jim Hagedorn described Coleman as a better fit for the position.

Sports Authority has hired Jeremy Aguilar as CFO. Aguilar, who most recently served as CFO of h.h. gregg, replaces former Sports Authority CFO Tom Hendrickson, who retired from the company. 

“Jeremy’s expertise in finance and accounting will play a critical role in further strengthening Sports Authority,” said CEO Michael E. Foss. “He will be a valuable asset to the team; we are thrilled to have him on board.”

Indianapolis-based appliance and electronics retailer hhgregg is searching for a new CFO after accepting the resignation of Jeremy J. Aguilar.

Aguilar, who was the company’s CFO and secretary, is leaving for a similar job at another company.

Armstrong World Industries has announced several changes to its management structure, which are scheduled to go into effect Nov. 16.

Most notably, Armstrong Flooring Products CEO Frank Ready will be retiring after 30 years with the company. Armstrong CFO Thomas Mangas will take his place, who will in turn be succeeded by Armstrong Building Products VP finance David Schulz.

Brian J. Harris has been appointed CFO and Anne L. Benedict has been named chief legal officer at heavy-side building materials company Summit Materials. Harris' appointment is effective Oct. 14, while Benedict's is Oct. 1.

Harris replaces John R. Murphy, who has stepped down as interim CFO and will continue to serve as a director and chairman of the audit committee of the board of directors for Summit's indirect parent company.

As upstart home goods e-tailer Wayfair gears up for a likely IPO in 2014 or 2015, Michael Fleisher will step in as the company's new CFO to help speed the process along.

Fleisher, who is leaving his post as Warner Music Group vice chairman, replaces Nicholas Malone, who is remaining at the company as chief administration officer.

Solar panel manufacturer Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. has appointed Bill Gregorak as its newest CFO.

Gregorak will be leaving his previous post as VP and CFO of Thule Organized Solutions, a consumer products manufacturer sold under the Case Logic and Thule brands. His experience with public company financial reporting, internal controls, and mergers and acquisitions will inform his role at Ascent Solar.

Ingersoll-Rand appointed Susan Carter as senior VP and chief financial officer, effective Sept. 27.

Carter joins the company from KBR, Inc., where she served for four years as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Prior to KBR, Carter held the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer at Lennox International Inc. Her 30 years of experience includes prior financial leadership positions at Cummins Inc., Honeywell International, Crane Company and DeKalb Corporation.
