Citing a tendency for the metal housing and lens to separate from the bulb's base and fall, Satco Products is recalling several thousand of its KolourOne LED Light Bulbs.

The recall affects about 119,000 units in the U.S. and 2,350 in Canada of the KolourOne Brand Panel Array 2.0 and DUO 2.0 PAR 30 and 38 LED Light Bulbs.

Four reports have been received of the bulb components separating and falling, but no injuries have yet been reported.

Rent-A-Center opened its newest location in Saginaw, Texas, located at 522 S. Saginaw Blvd.

Based in Plano, Texas, Rent-A-Center operates 275 locations in the state of Texas. The chain has more than 3,000 stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico.

As part of its opening ceremony, the store contributed $1,000 to Community Link Mission during today’s grand-opening ceremony.

Total equipment rental revenue in North America for 2013 is expected to reach $38.0 billion, according to the latest figures released by the American Rental Association (ARA) from its ARA Rental Market Monitor service updated in late October. This figure represents a 6.2% increase over 2012 with fourth-quarter revenue growth projected to be 7.1%.

The figure includes revenue for all three segments of the equipment rental industry -- construction/industrial, general tool/DIY and party/special event -- in both the United States and Canada combined.

The funds will go toward renovation and repair projects, life skill development programs and research initiatives aimed at addressing the needs of the tens of thousands of Canadian youth who are affected by homelessness each year.

The Sherwin-Williams Company has acquired the U.S./Canada business of Consorcio Comex, S.A. de C.V., which includes 314 stores and eight manufacturing sites.

RONA, Canada's largest hardware retailer and distributor, is selling its Commercial and Professional Market division to Talisker Plumbing Corp., a subsidiary of Emco Corp., for an expected net cash consideration of $215 million after fees and transaction expenses.

According to Bloomberg, the sale will primarily help RONA pay down debt and free up capital to focus in on its retail operations.

Citing an electric shock hazard due to defective wiring, chandeliers made in China are being recalled.

Currey & Company of Chico, Calif., announced a recall of 10 models of its chandeliers.

Defective wiring can conduct electricity to the Chinese-made chandeliers' metal parts, posing an electric shock hazard to consumers, according to a release from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
