Oklahoma City-based building products distributor Cedar Creek will soon open a new location in Lubbock, Texas. 

The company already serves 32 states from 24 total facilities.

According to Cedar Creek's CEO Bill Adams, "Although we have serviced West Texas for many years from other locations, having a local branch will enable us to provide even better service to these important customers."

Oklahoma City-based Cedar Creek entered into a lease agreement to open a new location in Long Beach, Mississippi, by Dec. 1.

According to Cedar Creek CEO Bill Adams, “This is a great strategic fit as it positions us to provide optimal service to customers along the Gulf Coast from the Florida panhandle across the southern tier of Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.“

Oklahoma City-based wholesale LBM distributor Cedar Creek is expanding its footprint across the Midwest with the acquisition of Des Moines, Iowa-based Roberts & Dybdahl. 

The two companies recently announced a letter of intent for Cedar Creek to acquire the majority of R&D’s assets. Closing is expected to occur June 30.

Cedar Creek has made a deal to acquire Reid and Wright, a lumber and building material distributor based in Bend, Ore., with a distribution center in Broomfield, Colo.

According to Cedar Creek CEO Bill Adams, “This is a key addition for Cedar Creek as it brings new customers, quality people and great products that we’ll merge into our current Denver location.”

The agreement is expected to be completed by March 31, 2014.

Cedar Creek has brought Glenn Arthur on board as national industrial sales manager.

"Glenn was one of the original employees at the Broken Arrow facility starting in 1977 and has vast experience in industrial products and will be implementing industrial sales departments throughout the country," said D. Wayne Trousdale, COO at Cedar Creek.

Effective Feb. 10, 2014, Arthur will assume his post at the building material distribution company's Broken Arrow, Okla. office.

Oklahoma City-based Cedar Creek has announced its plans to build a new distribution center in Atlanta.

"This expansion into one of the nation's top housing markets underscores our ongoing commitment to growing Cedar Creek's geographic footprint," said CEO Bill Adams. "Although we are currently servicing Atlanta from Birmingham, Ala., our new location will assure that we provide the best possible service and localized product mix to our Atlanta-area customers."

"Despite everyone's best efforts, we were not able to get to a mutually acceptable agreement with Wholesale Wood Products," said Bill Adams, CEO of Cedar Creek. 

WWP's Chuck Harris said the discussions ended on the best of terms.

Oklahoma City-based Cedar Creek announced that the company closed the deal to acquire Epperson Lumber of Statesville, N.C. 

Cedar Creek is a wholesale building material distribution company with 12 locations covering 17 states in the Mid-South, Midwest and Southeast.  In May 2010, Cedar Creek was recapitalized by Boston-based Charlesbank Capital Partners, with the goal of providing flexible capital for the company to grow beyond its current trade areas.
