Eco Building Products, Inc. is beefing up its production through the purchase of additional automated coating equipment and the use of a currently operational facility in Augusta, Ga.

The increased production capacity will help boost panel production to meet increasing big box demands, especially in the Northeastern U.S, the company said.

Eco Red Shield protected lumber has been selected as the lumber of choice in the construction of new modular homes for New Jersey's Hurricane Sandy rebuild.

According to parent company Eco Building Products, a total of 75 modular homes by Statewide Custom Modular Homes are under contract to be constructed using Eco Red Shield; seven of which have aleady been ordered by Statewide president Bruce Goodstein.

Eco Building Products is expanding its market to Australia, with products hitting the shelves potentially before the end of the year via its Australian affiliate and sales agency, Eco Red Building Products Australia PTY LTD.

The company cited the country's significant termite problem and the impending Australian summer, known for its brushfires and hot, dry climate, as a motivating factor in this strategic expansion.

Eco Building Products, Inc. is shipping another whole-house defensive house pack to Julie Kellner, who lost her home in Point Pleasant Beach, N.J., during Hurricane Sandy.

The pre-cut house comes with roof and floor trusses and will be the first Eco Red Shield home constructed in the region as part of the rebuilding effort.

Eco Building Products is opening up a new Eco Red Shield coating facility in Fairlawn, N.J., this August. The new location, featuring rail service and a lumberyard, comes in time for the state's Sandy Rebuild residential recovery and mold mitigation effort.

Additionally, Eco Red Shield protective lumber will also be hitting shelves around the Tri-State area, providing an alternative to mold, fire and rot-prone raw lumber.

Eco Building Products has sold another full house package of its Eco Red Shield protected lumber to TR Wurster Construction Inc. for a high-end custom project in Beverly Hills. Eco Red Shield is the standard in TR Wurster's projects, and it is positioning itself to gradually replace high-risk lumber in regions of the country that are particularly vulnerable to fire and mold.

Eco Red Shield Lumber is a treated wood product with a Fire Retardant Coating and added protection against mold, fungus, rot and termites.
