Style Crest, a distributor and manufacturer of specialty building products based in Fremont, Ohio, has reorganized its leadership team.

Under the new executive structure, former CEO Tom Kern will stay on-board as chairman, Bryan Kern will fill his shoes as CEO, and Bill Vogel will serve as EVP sales.

In his new role, Bryan Kern will lead the company together with CFO Ty Frantz. He has been working for the company since 2005, serving in roles such as engineering manager, plant manager and VP operations (his most recent role).

Style Crest, the Fremont, Ohio-based distributor of building materials and manufacturer of vinyl siding, has appointed Jeff Buckley as president, Residential Housing Group.

Buckley spent his career in building products and distribution, most recently with Weyerhauser, where he held the position of general manager of the Eastern Division since 2006.

Fremont, Calif.-based EchoFirst launched its newest Echo solar system and the nation’s first combined solar electric and solar thermal lease for the residential market.

The newest Echo solar system builds on the success of the Echo+ solar system, which has been installed in more than 1,000 homes. While basic solar electric or “PV” systems only provide electricity, Echo and Echo+ provide electricity and thermal energy.

Federal agents visited the homes of the CEO and two other top executives of solar panel-maker Solyndra Inc. to examine computer files and records, ABC News reported on Friday. 

The Sept. 8 raids were conducted on the same day that the FBI and officers from the Energy Department Inspector General seized boxes of records from the company's headquarters in Fremont, Calif.
