The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts gave a Gold Award and Silver Award in the categories of “Film and Video and “Commercials” to GAF for its commercials, in which the spirited dog shows courage, cunning and even computer skills in the face of threatening weather.

GAF has announced its plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to Parsippany, N.J. The move will transpire once renovations are completed on the company's new building at 1 Campus Drive.

Approximately 600 employees and contractors currently working at the company's headquarters in Wayne, N.J. will transfer to the new location.

Tiger Paw and Deck-Armor products are promoted as safe and high-performing roof deck protection products, helping to protect roofs from leaks and moisture that can cause costly damage.

Wayne, N.J.-based GAF announced the production of high-density polyisocyanurate (ISO) cover boards, which can be used as a protective layer over boardstock insulation or as a recover over an existing roofing system.

“Our new GAF High Density Cover Board is a key component for a more resilient roofing system from single ply to asphaltic,” said Justin Hardy, GAF product manager at GAF. “The ability to protect a roof from traffic and impact while adding R-value performance is a game changer.”

GAF is the newest member of the NLBMDA's Manufacturers and Services Council (MSC).

The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) announced today that GAF is the newest member of the association's Manufacturers and Services Council (MSC). The council is composed of the leading building material manufacturers and service providers serving the LBM industry. 

NLBMDA's MSC members are established industry leaders who supply products and services to lumber and building material dealers and regional chains across the nation.

GAF, one of North America’s largest roofing manufacturers, now has more than 300 professional roofing contractors who have qualified as members of the Certified Green Roofer program. Launched in 2010 and developed with partners like the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA), the Certified Green Roofer program has paid more than $60,000 in incentive dollars to contractors for recycling.

Wayne, N.J.-based GAF will open in Gainesville, Texas, a new manufacturing facility for polyisocyanurate (ISO), an insulation material used in commercial roofing systems.  

GAF opened its first ISO manufacturing facility in Statesboro, Ga., which began shipping material in August of this year. It plans four such facilities.

GAF's Royal Sovereign Shingles are celebrating a 50th anniversary.

First introduced as “Sovereign” in December of 1961, the shingle that has now evolved into GAF’s popular Royal Sovereign is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Initially launched as an organic shingle, Sovereign became one of the first glass mat shingles in 1972, and is one of the longest-running asphalt shingle brands on the market, according to the Wayne, N.J.-based GAF.

Wayne, N.J.-based GAF announced a significant expansion of its efforts to support post-consumer shingle recycling. Building on its Certified Green Roofer program, which has more than 100 members, GAF has made a multiyear commitment to sponsor the Find-A-Recycler section of ShingleRecycling.org.

ShingleRecycling.org is the leading resource for information about recycling asphalt shingles.

Wayne, N.J.-based GAF and the Lifetime Network’s "Designing Spaces" show are co-sponsoring the “Ugly Roof Makeover” contest, billed as “A tribute to the great American homeowner.”

GAF will select a winner who will receive an entire new roofing system valued at up to $15,000, and the installation of their roof will be featured in a segment of "Designing Spaces," a half-hour informative series that guides viewers on how to make their homes more beautiful and functional.

Wayne, N.J.-based roofing and ventilation manufacturer GAF was recently awarded four American Graphic Design Awards. 

The company also won an American Package Design Award for its TruSlate Sample Box. There were over 1,500 submissions in this contest, organized by Graphic Design USA magazine, which rewards packaging, p-o-p and related projects that are visually attractive and which feature designs that advance the brand and forge an emotional connection with the purchaser.

Wayne, N.J.-based GAF Materials Corp, the roofing and ventilation giant, is announcing improvements to its laminated shingle warranties.

Effective January 1, 2011, every GAF laminated shingle, including all Timberline shingles will be covered by a lifetime limited warranty when installed on single family residences. GAF will no longer offer any laminated shingles with just a 30-year or 40-year warranty, a first for any roofing manufacturer.

GAF pointed to its Advanced Protection technology as the basis for its lifetime warranties.
