Versatex has extended its “2-by” Versatex Max system to include 2x4 and 2x6 sizes.

The architectural trim product line made its debut early this year with a 11/2-in.-thick, 48-in. wide sheet — 1/4-in. thicker than competing extruded PVC  products. In response to fabricator requests for dimensionally compatible materials to reduce cutting and handling operations, Versatex developed nominal 2x8, 2x10 and 2x12 boards.

Versatex Max extruded cellular PVC sheets rolled out 2x8, 2x10 and 2x12 board versions of its 1.5-in. thick product.

In announcing the launch, Versatex president John Pace called the new 2x trimboard “a rapid response to feedback from the people in the field who have been working with the extra-thick 1½-in. PVC sheet we rolled out this spring.”

Pittsburgh-based Versatex Trimboard named Joe Ferrese as its new operations manager, in an appointment designed to enhance the manufacturer’s capabilities in both management and measurement.

Versatex also recently welcomed three industry experts to its expanding team of marketing development specialists. Chris Cavens, Michael Gauthreaux and Krystin Hanley will focus on pull-through field sales activities involving builders, contractors and architects.
