Alside, a manufacturer and distributor of exterior residential building products, has opened its second location in the Pittsburgh area. This marks the Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio-based firm’s 100th branch.
Although they’ve never been in the hardware business before, a pair of entrepreneurs has reopened the closed hardware store on Main St. in Nazareth, Pa., because they think it has a future, according to an article in The Morning Call.
The American Hardware Manufacturers Association’s AHMA Home Improvement Industry Confidence Index’s Current Situation Index declined in March to 200 from 229.2 in February (October 2008 = 100), while the Future Expectations Index also declined to 206.9 from 246.6 a month earlier.
