Philips Lighting is recalling about 7,500 units of its “Lightolier” brand AF4SY Decorative Glass Lens after receiving one report of the glass lens breaking. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the decorative glass lens has displayed a tendency to shatter, posing a risk to consumers below.

Philips Lighting is recalling its Endura and Ambient dimmable LED bulbs due to defects in a lead wire within the bulb's housing, which can potentially pose a shock hazard.

The wire, which is ill-fitted, can electrify the entire lamp and shock the customer. No injuries have been reported.

The recall affects about 99,000 units of Endura 12-watt and Ambient 12.5-watt LED Dimmable bulbs.

Philips Lighting has won the U.S. Department of Energy’s “Bright Tomorrow Lighting Prize” -- more commonly called the “L Prize” competition -- with its 10-watt LED bulb that will be part of its AmbientLED and EnduraLED line.
