From the outside, the Mount Prospect, Ill., True Value hardware store looks a lot like any other True Value store. It’s only 2 years old, so the sign above the door appears extra bright red and white.

When you walk through the entrance, it still looks a lot like most of the Chicago-based co-op’s fashion-forward Destination True Value format stores. At 12,600 sq. ft., it’s a little bigger than most. The registers are ringing up front, and a racetrack is punctuated by 38 endcaps promoting product, as well as ideas for the home.

Brownsboro Hardware & Paint of Louisville, Ky. opened its second location, according to a report in the Louisville Biz Journal

The new store is located in the former site of a Vance's True Value Hardware in the Prospect Pointe shopping center in Prospect, Ky.

Mount Prospect, Ill.-based Robert Bosch Tool Corp. has announced that Manfred Seitz will retire at the end of March 2011 as chairman, president and CEO after 34 years leading several different divisions of the Bosch Group.

The company said Terry Horan will succeed as president and CEO, effective April 1, 2011.
