Kubota Corp. has appointed Masato Yoshikawa as the new president of Kubota Tractor Corporation (KTC), based in Torrance, Calif.

Yoshikawa is a 32-year Kubota veteran and most recently held the position of general manager, corporate planning and control department for Kubota Corporation, headquartered in Osaka, Japan.

A new Orchard Supply Hardware store in Torrance, Calif., will remain open, while a Torrance store on Pacific Coast Highway will close.

Previously, HCN reported that the Orchard Supply store located on Hawthorne Boulevard, which opened last year, will be liquidating its inventory as part of OSH's bankruptcy filing.

After a promising debut in the fall of 2012, the Orchard Supply Hardware store located on Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance, Calif., is shutting its doors for good, according to the Daily Breeze.

Orchard Supply Hardware will open a 50,000-sq.-ft. store in Torrance, Calif., showcasing the company’s new store format. 

The South Bay store at 19330 Hawthorne Blvd., the site of a former Kmart store, will open Sept. 1 and marks the company’s 89th store in the state of California.
