St. Louis-based Huttig Building Products expanded its borrowing capacity.

The domestic distributor of millwork, building materials and wood products announced it entered a deal to amend and extend its $120 million senior secured credit facility.

"We believe the amended facility will enhance our financial flexibility and provide greater liquidity to support our business growth,” said Philip W. Keipp, Huttig’s VP and CFO.

Chicago-based True Value Co. senior VP and CFO David Shadduck liked what he saw during the first quarter, and didn't hesitate to describe the cold and snowy winter as a net gain for the co-op's 4,500 retailers.

The co-op reported gross billings of $460.1 million for the quarter, up 3.6% from $444.2 million for the same period a year ago. Revenue was $331.5 million, an increase of 6.0%.

Marysville, Ohio-based Scotts Miracle-Gro Company named Randy Coleman as executive VP and CFO.

Coleman replaces Larry Hilsheimer, who has left the company after slighlty more than a year in his role.

Chairman and CEO Jim Hagedorn described Coleman as a better fit for the position.

Thomas Wright has been appointed to the executive VP and CFO title at Sterling Construction, effective Sept. 25.

Wright will be replacing Kevan Blair, who will transition into the role of senior VP of corporate finance.

Solar panel manufacturer Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. has appointed Bill Gregorak as its newest CFO.

Gregorak will be leaving his previous post as VP and CFO of Thule Organized Solutions, a consumer products manufacturer sold under the Case Logic and Thule brands. His experience with public company financial reporting, internal controls, and mergers and acquisitions will inform his role at Ascent Solar.

Following its registration statement filing last month, Masonite International Corporation is set to commence trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the stock ticker symbol "DOOR."

Valspar Corp. has announced the retirement of Lori Walker, the company’s senior VP and CFO. Walker joined Valspar in 2000 as assistant controller, was promoted to VP and controller in 2001, VP treasurer in 2004, and has been Valspar's CFO since 2008.

An executive from Eastman Chemical discussed a test of a new treated wood product  at Lowe’s in its northeastern stores this month. Speaking at the JP Morgan Diversified Industries conference on June 5, senior VP and CFO Curt Espeland told analysts that Perennial Wood, a treated (also described as “modified”) wood product launched at the Builders' Show, was being made available at 50 Lowe’s stores that same day. The product is also being sold through independent lumberyards.
