Medford, Wis.-based Crestline Windows and Doors has considerably expanded its stocked product offering at Menards stores in recent weeks, the company announced.

Products now on the Midwest retailer’s shelves include several sizes and styles in the Select 200 Series, Select 250 Series and Select 300 Series.  Menards' customers can access all-vinyl patio doors and windows right from the retail floor, with special orders of other Crestline product lines, sizes and styles also available.

According to the Green Bay Press Gazette of Wisconsin, a man took several days to accumulate more than $15,000 of stolen merchandise from an Oconto Falls, Wis., hardware store. 

The thief pulled it off by coming back night after night last summer, after he stole the key from a pickup truck, according to the article.

Beloit, Wis.-based ABC Supply Co. promoted Todd Buehl to the position of chief financial officer and treasurer, effective April 1. Buehl, who joined ABC Supply as vice president and chief administrative officer in 2012, succeeds Kendra Story, who is retiring as chief financial officer and treasurer after nearly 32 years with the company.

In Jefferson, Wis., a local mainstay is shutting its doors after 55 years. Though it wasn't suffering any extreme hardships, Punzel Hardware has announced its plans to close early this year after owner Jeff Punzel got a more lucrative job offer that will free up time for him to spend with his family, the Wisconsin Daily Union reported.

Milwaukee Tool Corp. introduced the Diamond Plus Hole Saws that are engineered to stand up to the hardest, most abrasive materials on the jobsite. 

The Milwaukee, Wis.-based company said the new diamond grit hole saw range utilizes a higher grade of diamonds and heat-resistant braze to deliver up to 10 times longer life than other products.

Beloit, Wis.-based ABC Supply, operator of 450 branches in 45 states, named Tony Vaden as chief information officer.

Vaden replaces Kathy Hendricks, who moved to a newly created post as executive director of customer connectivity for ABC Supply.

Vaden is an award-winning veteran of the information technology industry, and he will oversee all aspects of the information technology systems that support the company’s computing needs.

In his new role, Jost will be responsible for the company’s operations, safety, education, real estate, marketing and merchandising functions. Most recently, Jost had been the Mid-Atlantic district manager.

US LBM Holdings, the fast-growing acquisition-oriented lumberyard company has struck again.

The Green Bay, Wis.-based holdings company acquired New Holland, Pa.-based Musselman Lumber from partners Galen Eby, Joe Good and Bob Quinlivan. 

Founded in 1911, Musselman is a building material supplier in Central Pennsylvania with two locations serving Lancaster, Pa. and its surrounding counties.

Greenbay, Wis.-based building materials distributor Amerhart has promoted Ryan Chandler to the position of branch manager for Amerhart-Sun Prairie.

Chandler will replace Dave Destiche, who will assume the role of VP marketing as part of a series of internal promotions the company recently made to fill key management positions.

Chandler touts over 15 years of sales experience at Amerhart-Sun Prairie and is intimately familiar with local operations.

According to Madison, Wis.-based Spectrum, the new sites offer a more comprehensive and robust search functionality. They also organize information more efficiently.

A dedicated merchandising and planogram section has been added to both sites, along with company and product news.

How can you tell a counterfeit from the real thing? According to Mukwonago, Wis.-based Empire Level, the screws of its genuine Torpedo level are hidden on the side. Also, counterfeits squeak when twisted.

The company says it is working aggressively to stop counterfeiting of its levels in two ways: blocking the import of knock-offs and pushing for removal of counterfeits from store shelves. The company has issued dozens of cease-and-desist letters to Chinese suppliers, as well as U.S. distributors and retailers dealing in the counterfeits.

NEW YORK — In less than five years, Green Bay, Wis.-based US LBM Holdings has grown from a mere idea into a 55-unit pro dealer. It ranked 14th in sales on the HCN Pro Dealer Industry Scoreboard and showed year-over-year revenue growth of 15.7%.

With those numbers, and a corporate culture focused on improvement, US LBM Holdings was named HCN’s 2013 “Pro Dealer of the Year.”

ABC Supply adjusted its lineup of executive titles by promoting 14-year ABC veteran and COO Keith Rozolis into the spot as president, a post previously held by the CEO David Luck. 

Luck, who has been president since 1998, will continue as CEO of the Beloit, Wis.-based building products dealer.

Miller is a 25-year industry veteran who most recently served the company in the role of national accounts manager.

Amerhart operates several distribution facilities in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota. It distributes building materials and lumber products to pro dealers, home centers and industrial accounts.

Beloit, Wis.-based building products distributor ABC Supply Co., Inc. acquired the distribution assets of Sellmore Industries, a distributor of steep-slope roofing, siding and windows with locations in Baltimore; Philadelphia; Buffalo, N.Y.; and Hagerstown, Md.

“These four new locations will expand and strengthen ABC Supply’s existing presence in these markets,” said ABC CEO David Luck.
