As part of its continued growth strategy, Williams-Sonoma made several organizational changes to its management team.

Chief marketing officer Pat Connolly has been elevated to chief strategy and business development officer. Connolly will work closely with senior management to refine the company’s long-term strategy, including the development of new businesses, and the evaluation and execution of acquisitions and alliances that can provide significant growth.

Julie Lyle, chief marketing officer for Indianapolis appliance, electronics and furniture retailer hhgregg, has been named the 2015 chairperson for the Global Retail Marketing Association (GRMA) Advisory Board.

As chairperson, Lyle will lead the GRMA Advisory Board and play a key role in the development of the organization’s strategic initiatives and thought leadership. Lyle succeeds Brian Beitler, EVP and chief marketing officer, David’s Bridal, who served as chairman from 2012 to 2014.

The Natuzzi Group, an upholestered furniture manufacturer based in Italy, has named Simone Ferrari as its new chief marketing officer.

Ferrari joined the company in Oct. 2012 as VP communication. His promotion is part of a larger management restructuring initiative.

In his new role, Ferrari will take the lead in the development of an integrated marketing, communications and product development strategy. He will also lend support to expansion efforts in fast-growing economies, especially BRIC countries.

Lyski will also be accountable for advancing the Marysville, Ohio-based company's "Consumer First" strategy specifically to maximize opportunities for sustainable brand portfolio and market share growth, along with continuing to build stronger relationships with consumers.

Advertising Age, citing an internal announcement, has reported that VP and chief marketing officer Frank Bifulco has been replaced by former VP advertising Trish Mueller. Bifulco was with the Atlanta retailer for almost three years.

Mueller joined Home Depot in 2009 after serving as senior VP marketing and advertising at Sports Authority and VP advertising at American Signature.
