One day after Home Depot confirmed that a data breach had occurred that “could potentially impact any customer that has used their payment card at our U.S. and Canadian stores, from April forward,” the lawyers piled on.

Hardwood flooring company Lumber Liquidators has donated one of its Dura Dance flooring systems to the Cincinnati, Ohio-based Highsteppers Drill Team as part of its Lay It Forward charity campaign.

The 15-year-old drill team recently moved into a new space, but didn’t have a proper floor, which led to Lumber Liquidators installing the Dura Dance system, which features underlying rubber to reduce impact and absorb energy.

Masco Corporation delivered a robust first quarter earnings report, with sales and income both demonstrating strong forward momentum.

Net sales for the three months ended March 31 were $1.97 billion, up from $1.88 billion in the first quarter of 2013.

The company attributed its top-line growth mainly to Plumbing Products, Installation and Other Services, as well as Other Specialty Products. International sales were also up in Europe.

Meanwhile, net income came in at $74 million, compared to $53 million in the same year-ago period.

CatchMark Timber Trust, Inc. is moving forward with its purchase of 36,340 acres of timberland from Hancock Timber Resource Group, located in the Waycross-Panola properties of Southeast Georgia and East Texas.

CatchMark is also acquiring approximately 1.45 million tons of merchantable timber inventory and increasing the share of higher value chip-n-saw and sawtimber in its product mix. The inventory comprises 84% pine plantations by acreage and 54% sawtimber by tons.

"And Mark has successfully led one of the most extensive supply chain transformations in retail history. Jerry Burris has resigned from his role as CEO and director of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio-based Associated Materials to pursue other interests.

"I have enjoyed my time at AMI and am proud that our team's accomplishments have positioned the company for a strong future," said Mr. Burris. "As a shareholder of AMI, I look forward to following its continued success over the coming years."

The company's board of directors is currently in the process of seeking a replacement. In the meantime, current director and former CEO Dana Snyder will serve as interim CEO.
