Milwaukee Tool has a new addition to its M12 line of lithium-ion battery-powered tools in the form of a variable speed polisher and sander. 

According to Milwaukee’s group product manager, Andrew Plowman, the company conducted research that showed the sander/polisher has the capability to reduce time spent on auto detailing by about 20% by using it for smaller surfaces before using a larger polisher.

The new tool will be sold either as a standalone product, or as part of a pack that includes a battery, charger, and five-piece accessory kit.

Pottstown, Pa.-based The Eastwood Co., innovators of do-it-yourself automotive restoration tools and accessories, introduced an Electric Pressure Washer that the company says makes quick work of power-washing vehicles, decks, driveways, siding and boats.

Mark Robideaux, Eastwood product manager, says the product generates up to 2,175 psi, with a working pressure of 1,450 psi. It sells for about $200.

Dunn-Edwards, the Los Angeles-based paint and sundries line, has introduced a premium interior enamel product line that has the performance and appearance of traditional oil-based paint but cleans up with soap and water. 

Called Aristowall, the gloss and semi-gloss paint is a water-oil hybrid product designed for interior walls, trim, molding, cabinets, doors, kitchens, baths and high-traffic areas. It uses waterborne alkyd technology, according to Terry Chi, product manager. “The end result is a surface that looks like glass,” she said.
